How to Use for Millipedes
Moisten the substrate so it is damp but not saturated. Fill the enclosure with Bio-Thrive substrate as deep as your millipede is long to encourage natural burrowing behavior and healthy molting conditions.
Add crushed hardwood leaves and rotten hardwood to the surface to provide additional nutrition and environmental enrichment. Replace the substrate when it becomes overly broken down, resembles garden soil, or when processed substrate pellets make up more than half of the enclosure.
How to Use for Isopods
Pack a 2–3 inch layer of Bio-Thrive substrate into the enclosure and moisten using distilled or spring water. Maintain moisture primarily in the lower substrate layers by spraying the enclosure sides and allowing water to work downward naturally.
For best results, add hardwood leaves, aged bark, moss, and supplemental food sources to create a stable bioactive environment for isopod colonies.
