Giant Thailand Orange Millipede, Thyropygus sp.
Large thick species - Max Size 6" to 7"
The Latin on this large and robust species is new to the USA, and possibly a color locale variation of Thyropygus, this is my opinion, this is not documented. The importer simply called them "Diplopoda" which includes all cylindrical millipedes. Thyropygus has a HUGE natural distribution range in southeast Asia. These were imported from Thailand.
The bright intense orange legs and thick and robust body is just remarkable, this species is absolutely a part of our breeding program and we hope they produce eggs in 2026, if so the offspring will be available the spring of 2027.
