These isopods grow to a large & beautiful isopod. Indigenous to France near shores of limestone, TDF CaO Bio Layer (available on this website, is a rich mixture of nutrition and has added calcium oxide needed by this beautiful isopod. They enjoy live mosses, oak leaves, yellow squash, and cuttlebone.
Like common roly polys, these isopods roll up into a ball when disturbed or threatened.
Temp Requirements: Room temps are fine.
Breeding: Easy - with proper care sub-adults will begin to breed before reaching full size.
Humidity: Moderate humidity.
