Mini Oak Leaf Creeping Vine, Ficus pumila quercifolia
You will receive three 4" cuttings with established adventitious aerial roots.
Adventitious aerial roots are roots that grow from the stem or other above ground, non-root tissues of a plant, rather than from the main root system. These specialized roots can absorb moisture and nutrients from the air, provide anchorage to the support plant, and even facilitate propagation or photosynthesis.
These are Terrarium Acclimated -VERY IMPORTANT- Not Grown in a Greenhouse.
FYI - Greenhouse grown in 2" or 4" pots Ficus pumila quercifolia will have a tough time in a terrarium.
This amazing creeping plant is also known for its miniature less than 1/2" leaves that resemble oak leaves and are uniformly green. This variety is not yet known whether it belongs to Ficus pumila or if it is a separate species altogether. Oak leaf creeping vines grow much more slowly, making them perfect for terrariums.
Prefers a warm, humid environment with bright light the leaves will grow close together and tight, in low light they are more of a loose creeping vine. Either way they are a must have for that wildly natural look.
