Large burrowing terrestrial species, primarily nocturnal spending daylight hours deep within its burrow. At night, it positions itself just below the trapdoor, waiting to ambush unsuspecting prey such as insects and other small invertebrates. The spider employs seven silk threads radiating from the burrow entrance as trip lines to detect vibrations caused by potential prey. Upon sensing movement, it swiftly emerges to seize the prey, displaying a sit-and-wait predatory strategy.
