Blue Side Warrior Beetle, Pasimachus subsulcatus floridanus

Large, predatory, flightless ground beetle found in Florida. They feed on insects, anything they can overtake with their mandibles. Known as a warrior beetle, it measures up to 35mm, featuring powerful mandibles, a black body, and often a metallic blue margin on its elytra.

Behavior: They are nocturnal or crepuscular predators, using their strong mandibles to prey on insects like roaches and crickets.
